The Resource Center of Washington Presbytery provides materials in support of the mission and ministry of congregations.  The Resource Center is located at the Presbytery Center.  It is open during the normal business hours that the Presbytery Center is open, 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.  During the months of July and August, the Presbytery Center is closed on Mondays.

Our Collection

Our collection emphasizes materials to be used in congregations, so we have emphasized videos and studies.  If you are leading almost anything at your church, you will find materials that can help you here.

Our Children's Ministry and Teacher Training sections are filled with books and even more videos for use in your church and your home.  We have copies of all the PC(USA) curriculum and samples of other curricula.

Our Youth Ministry section is the same, with Ecufilm videos, youth ministry titles by Youth Specialties, and more.

Our Theology and Bible Study sections include reference books, studies for the church, and videos by Ken Bailey.

We also have shelves of materials on Presbyterian Heritage and Officer Training.

Our resources for relational ministries include section on Aging, Family Ministry, Women's Ministry, and Men's Ministry.

Churches will find our Stewardship resources very helpful, as will those considering Church Vocations.

We also have several shelves of books, studies and videos concerning Peacemaking and Missions.

Anyone who is a member of any of our churches is free to check out materials.  We even have a television you can use to preview videos!

Equipment for Rent

In addition, we have one video projector and a data projector, and even an old overhead projector which can be rented.  The rental costs are:

• Video Projector - $10 for a weekend, $25 for a week, $5 a day late fees

• Data projector - $25 for a weekend or for any three days, $10 a day late fee

• Laptop Computer -$10 for a weekend or for three days during the week

• Overhead projector - no fee

• Parachute - no fee (great for youth group activities)

There is no fee for Presbytery committees who wish to use any of the equipment.  Please call ahead to reserve the projectors you wish to use, to be sure they are available.
