First Presbyterian Church of California, PA celebrated
100 years of service
to the community in 1998. Situated two blocks from California
University of
Pennsylvania, the church serves a diverse congregation of townspeople,
University faculty and staff, and students. The church has just
launched a
contemporary worship service on Saturday evenings. In mission, FPC
recently
sent four members to Haiti as short-term. The church participates in
the
CROP walk and contributes time and money to the local food bank and
meals-on-wheels.
